Paint the views of the Topa Mountains at this beautiful winery, while basking in the creative aura and history of Ojai, and enjoying delicious local wines.
This workshop will focus on plein air painting with casual instruction and will be open to all abilities. Led by watercolor artist Anne Kupillas and designer and urban sketcher Charles Leon, this workshop will be held outside overlooking the vineyard and tasting room.
This workshop emphasizes sketching, composition, value, color, light and shadow, and the pros and cons of creating art on location. This will be a casual and informative workshop! Participants will leave with at least one finished sketch or painting, as well as smaller studies, and a better appreciation for on location sketching. Please bring your favorite supplies for painting or drawing outside; a suggested list of supplies will be provided upon registration. For those new to sketching and watercolor painting, a supply kit can be purchased for an additional $18. One wine tasting flight and snacks are included in the price of the workshop.
